Meet Charlie Haylock; author, historian and Suffolk dialect coach.

For his role in ‘The Dig’, Ralph Fiennes needed help to portray the Sutton Hoo legend,

Basil Brown. After discovering him on YouTube, Fiennes knew Charlie was the key to getting the accent spot on, ‘Charlie and The Dig’ gives a fascinating insight into the Suffolk accent and dialect and how forensically the actor approached his task, in a talk that has been packing out venues. Join us to discover what it was like working on a film set and test out your Suffolk accent!
