Richard Fryer
Richard started sailing in the 1960’s. In the early 1970’s his parents bought an Ajax which Richard raced with his father at the Club. His father spent many years after this as the Club’s Race Officer. Richard crewed Flying Fifteens at the Club for ten years and assisted with events run by the Club. Richard is an active sailing member of other local clubs and is keen to expand all water borne activities along with the development of commercial and social activities within the Club. He has spent three years as Rear Commodore with responsibility for the Estates management and has led a team continuing the refurbishment of the building. Richard is an active sailor, sailing his dinghies and with others in keel boats, locally and further afield.
Richard was previously Commodore of the RN&SYC from 2018 to 2021.
